VITICULTURE
Nekeas is originally a cooperative founded by 8 families from Añorbe. They put together 174 ha and first investment for the planting and winery. It always has been managed like a private company. Nowadays the vineyards are up to 225 ha all in Nekeas Valley and 110 ha of Olive groves and own by the same families. We do everything ourselves, we farm, harvest, elaborate, bottle and sell our own fruits exclusively.
WINEMAKING
Located in Nekeas Valley in the North of Navarra, the cool climate and strong Atlantic influence is clear in this wine. The valley is also between 420-650 mt high with big agaps of temeperature between day and night most of the year. 15 days days of skin maceration and later just with free run fermented in stainless still tank. TASTING NOTE
Young fresh fruity red. Excellent combination of the purple of the Garnacha and the cherry red of the Tempranillo. Hints of black fruit and woodland strawberries. Sweet and smooth with a long, fresh finish.
FOOD MATCHING
Perfect to enjoy as drink but also a good pair with pasta or light meats.
