Description

VITICULTURE

Owner Riccardo Lepri took over the estate after his grandfather Enos in 2001. Alongside winemaker Fabrizio Moltard, they selected the most suited grapes for the land. Following an organic approach they make delicate wines with concentrated flavours that started to generate interest amongst critics.

WINEMAKING

Located 15 km away from the coast, the estate enjoys a micro climate characterized by large variation of temperature between day and night, ideal for making wine. Out of the 200ha property, 14 are planted with 60% white and 40% red grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino, Malvasia, Grechetto for whites and Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Merlot for reds. Only their Pinot Noir is aged in oak for 10 to 12 months. 30% of the wine is aged in large wooden barrel for about 10 months.
