Celler Comunica is a project conceived and carried out by oenologists Pep Aguilar and Patric Murillo. The winery was created in 2002 and has the experience of the two founding partners, who have a history of more than a decade advising wineries in different areas.
The philosophy of Celler Comunica is to produce wines that show freshness above all. With this idea, they found the farm Mas d’en Cosme, a farm in the municipality of Falset, which has the ideal soils to obtain the perfect grapes for these wines. Clayey-calcareous soils with good presence of granitic sands.
Vi del Mas is a red wine made with Grenache and Syrah from the vineyards of Mas d’en Cosme, planted on clayey-calcareous soils with granitic sands.
After the manual harvest and once they arrive at the winery, 50% of the grapes are destemmed, with macerations of 1 to 5 days. The grapes ferment with native yeasts in stainless steel and egg-shaped polymeric deposits. The ageing takes place in these same deposits, 6 months in stainless steel, plus 2 months in egg-shaped deposits.
The nose suggests summer pudding with a hint of kirsch and the palate is sweet and juicy with some good herbal definitions and rounded tannins.
