Sourced from blocks in the vineyards with varying soil types: deep granite with layers of clay, very deep sandy-clay colluvial soil & moderately deep clay colluvial soil with embedded stone. A cool, wet winter followed by a cool spring, with no significant rain later in the year meant that the patience of the winemaking team in waiting for the grapes to ripen in the vineyard was rewarded.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks with soft extraction of the skins. 30% aged for 12 months in barrels of second and third use.

Berries such as blackberries and blueberries appear on the nose, giving way to soft spicy notes like cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is silky and very fruity, with good texture and persistence.
